Ethical and operational guidelines for the ethics review of COVID19-related research of the Ministry of Health of Argentina

Conducting research to provide answers to the COVID-19 pandemic is a moral duty. In order to streamline the evaluation of
research and ensure its scientific and ethical rigor, the Ministry of Health developed ethical and operational guidelines. The document addresses the issues that should be given special attention during the pandemic and provides guidance to Research Ethics Committees for the development of operational procedures that will shorten the timeframe for evaluation. This article describes the key points of the guidelines.
