The Revista Argentina de Salud Pública starts publishing a special supplement on COVID-19 following an Open-Access continuous publication model. It aims to become a scientific communication tool that serves for informed and evidence-based decision-making in this pandemic context, which requires to have timely and reliable scientific information as quickly as possible. In order to meet this objective, not only has the publication system been changed —from now on articles are received, reviewed, edited and published— but also technical and editorial teams have been strengthened to speed up the process of review and publication. In addition to the contents regularly published by the journal, such as original articles, reviews, health interventions, and epidemiological analyses of health situations, ad hoc sections were created for this supplement, such as esearch protocols, case reports or case series, specialized editorials, and original articles with a socio-sanitary perspective, in order to disseminate not only advances in treatments and therapeutics on COVID-19, but also the health and social impact on opulation health determinants. A wide call has also been made to form a special body of external reviewers from scientific societies, universities, and the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (Conicet), among other institutions, with he aim of turning the Revista Argentina de Salud Pública into a federal space to discuss and share the best available evidence in Public Health.
