COVID-19: Information resources

The area of Knowledge Management and Communication of the Health Research Department at the National Ministry of Health offers a list of national and international directories of scientific information sources about COVID-19 containing scientific evidence and different information resources aimed at researchers, health decision makers, and the entire scientific community. 

• Observatorio de investigaciones COVID-19  [COVID-19 Research Observatory]
  Created by an initiative of the Dirección de Investigación en Salud [Department of Health Research], it is an inter-jurisdictional collaborative work space that gathers the research about COVID-19 in the country based on the information provided by the research areas and the research ethics committees of the Ministries of the provinces, the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, and national institutions. It also contains information on COVID-19-related health research approved by the calls made by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.
• Recomendaciones para equipos de salud del Ministerio de Salud de Argentina [Recommendations for health teams of the Ministry of Health of Argentina]
  Predefined search in the Virtual Health Library of the Ministry for technical documents aimed at health teams, both regarding healthcare and management, adapted to the national context of the COVID-19 pandemic, and updated on an ongoing basis.
• Portal Regional de la Biblioteca Virtual en Salud [Regional Portal of the Virtual Health Library]
  Window of knowledge with several information resources elaborated and continuously updated by the Centro Latinoamericano y del Caribe de Información en Ciencias de la Salud [Latin American and Caribbean Center on Health Sciences Information] that reports to PAHO/WHO.
• Portal de información de OPS para la Región de las Américas [PAHO Information Portal for the Region of the Americas]
  This database allows search and access to technical guidelines, scientific publications and ongoing research protocols about the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, both from the Region of the Americas and the affected countries worldwide.
• Portal del Sistema Nacional de Repositorios Digitales de Argentina [Portal of the National System of Digital Repositories of Argentina]
  Portal of scientific information where scientific productions about COVID-19 published in scientific information repositories of the institutes of the Sistema Nacional de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación Argentino [National System of Science, Technology and Innovation of Argentina] can be found.
• Datasets del Sistema Nacional de Vigilancia en Salud [Datasets of the National Health Surveillance System]
  Sets of epidemiological data about the COVID-19 pandemic in Argentina processed by the Dirección Nacional de Epidemiología y Análisis de Situación en Salud [National Direction of Epidemiology and Health Situation Analysis] of the Ministry of Health of Argentina.
• Sala de Situación en línea del Ministerio de Salud [Online Health Situation Room of the Ministry of Health]
  It allows access to epidemiological information on the COVID-19 pandemic by types of cases and with different levels of geographic disaggregation.
• Biblioteca Electrónica de Ciencia y Tecnología [Science and Technology Electronic Library]
  It provides access to 26 578 full text titles of technical and scientific journals and 22719 books, among others. It offers a servicio de solicitud de textos completos por correo electrónico [service for requesting full texts by email] 
• Directorio de fuentes de información científica sobre COVID-19 [Directory of scientific information sources about COVID-19]
  Elaborated by the Instituto Brasileño de Información en Ciencia y Tecnología (Ibict) [Brazilian Institute of Science and Technology Information], in collaboration with the UNESCO, it gathers scientific contents grouped in: Artículos Científicos [Scientific Articles], Bases de preprints [Preprint databases], Recopiladores de información científica [Scientific information collectors] and Repositorios de Datos de investigación [Research Data Repositories], among others.
• Proyecto Argentina Interinstitucional de Genómica de SARS-CoV-2 -Proyecto PAIS Developed by the Consorcio Argentino de Genómica de SARS-CoV-2 [Argentine Consortium of SARS-CoV-2 genomics]. It offers access to reports of phylogenetic, phylogeographic and clinical-epidemiological association analyses derived from the collection of biological samples of patients infected in public and private health facilities of Argentina.
