Preprints
The editorial policy of the Revista Argentina de Salud Pública (RASP) offer the authors the option to deposit their manuscript in Open Access repositories before submitting it to the RASP for review and publication. In case they opt for this, the corresponding author must declare this information in the Letter to the Editor.
This modality implies the following:
- It allows the work of the authors to be disseminated among the scientific community without waiting for them to be approved and published by a scientific journal.
- The critical assessments to the manuscript may be incorporated by the authors before submission for publication in a scientific journal.
- Although the manuscript loses its unpublished nature, such condition does not preclude its review and publication by the journal, since the RASP prioritizes early dissemination of research results in compliance with the Open Science paradigm.
- Publication of manuscripts in preprint repositories has an impact on the peer-review process since the authors’ data lose their anonymization for external reviewers.
Where to deposit your preprint
According to its theme scope, the RASP will accept the submission of manuscripts that have been published in some of the following repositories: SciELO preprints; SocArXiv; medRxiv or arXiv.
